Youth Maritime Accelerator Project
The Youth Maritime Accelerator Project (YMAP) is an 8-week paid summer internship program where youth ages 18-24 participate in skills-based training workshops in the morning and intern with their respective maritime employer in the afternoon. Each Friday, they participate in experiential learning events to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the maritime industry. Our diverse and talented youth in this program are primarily from underserved communities in the South King County region and are new to maritime. Students receive a total stipend of $2,000, with $1,000 paid at the end of each month throughout the internship.
