Interested in Hosting an Intern?
Support the future of your industry: connect young people to maritime careers.
On its current trajectory, today’s workforce will fail to meet the future demand of our industry – an industry that generated 21.4 billion dollars in revenue in 2015, and that proudly serves as Washington State’s third largest employer. Despite competitive pay and benefits, recruiting young workers in the maritime industry has been a challenge. Help guide a new generation towards rewarding, lucrative careers by hosting an intern at your company.
Why host an intern?
- Create a pipeline for potential new employees
- Enhance the visibility of your organization
- Expand the skills set of your current employees
- Offer management experience to employees supervising interns
- Get lingering, low-priority projects completed
